Installation and setup
- Select the official Windows or macOS release package, or the Linux Flathub route linked by the provider.
- Check the provider’s current platform requirements and download documentation before using an installer or source build.
- Add only a media URL for which downloading is permitted by the rights holder and service, then select an appropriate format and destination folder.
- Review the resulting local file and storage use before a larger batch. Supported websites and behavior can change with upstream services and yt-dlp.
