Using the directory

AltStack provides software research, comparisons and guides. Browsing is free and does not require an account. A listing is information for your assessment, not an endorsement, certification or a promise that a product fits your needs. Provider prices, limits and availability can change after a recorded review.

Software, setup and costs

Use official provider downloads and follow each product’s license and service terms. Free software, a free hosted plan and an open-source license describe different things. Your hardware, hosting, storage, model weights, API calls and optional features may have separate costs or conditions. A guide based on documentation does not mean AltStack installed or tested every application. Review commands and backups before running anything.

Media and third-party services

Own-media players and servers require media you have the right to use. Independent creator catalogs and alternative clients do not grant access to paid Netflix, Spotify or YouTube catalogs or subscription benefits. Use each service and its content only as permitted by the relevant rights holders and applicable law. External sites have their own terms and privacy practices.

Content and permitted use

You may browse, link to pages and use the directory to research software. Rights in original AltStack text, original code and original artwork are reserved only to the extent owned and protected by applicable law. Third-party works, open-source components, licensed artwork, factual information and statutory exceptions retain their own terms. Do not imply endorsement, impersonate the operator or reuse protected expression beyond permission or applicable legal exceptions. See rights and credits.

Submissions and corrections

Submit information you are entitled to share. Do not submit passwords, access tokens, private files or sensitive personal information. For material you own or are authorized to license, a tool submission permits AltStack to review, edit for accuracy and publish the submitted product description for the directory. This permission is non-exclusive and does not transfer ownership or grant rights in third-party logos, screenshots or other material. Contact details are used for review and follow-up and are not published automatically. Sending a submission does not guarantee publication, ranking or a response.

Sponsorship and reliability

Discuss sponsorship or advertising through the published contact channels. A paid arrangement must be labelled where displayed and does not change factual license or cost claims. Unless separately agreed, the public directory is provided as available without a promise of uninterrupted service or complete accuracy. Nothing in these terms excludes a right or responsibility that applicable law does not permit to be excluded.

Questions and changes

Ask the operator about an error, permission or concern before relying on a disputed listing. The dated version on this page describes the current directory terms. Applicable mandatory consumer and privacy rights continue to apply. This page does not assert worldwide exclusivity in a name, create a patent or certify trademark registration.
