Installation and setup

For Android, follow the project's Android installation wiki and select a matching stable APK from its official Releases page. Use its separate Linux installation instructions on desktop Linux.
Install from the provider's release channel and review Android's file-access prompts. Retain the same build/signing channel for future updates.
Open one DRM-free EPUB or PDF from a known local folder, then adjust text or page layout for that document type.
Test a highlight and your backup/export needs before migrating a library. Use the project's device-specific instructions if considering an e-ink reader; desktop or phone steps do not establish model compatibility.
