Saber

AndroidiPhone / iPadWindowsmacOSLinux

Platform information checked 2026-10-23. Saber is GPL-3.0 free software with freely downloadable provider releases and an official F-Droid route. Store listings and independent sync or hosting services can have their own terms; no universal free hosted-storage allowance is claimed. Encrypted synchronization is optional and requires the appropriate account/server setup. It replaces handwriting and PDF note workflows, without promising OneNote collaboration, OCR or file-format equivalence.

Official app downloads and supported devices

Use the publisher’s linked store or documented APK channel. AltStack does not host APK files. A player or independent client does not grant access to paid subscription content.

Handwrite notes, organize folders and work with PDFs across mobile and desktop, with optional encrypted synchronization.

Installation and setup

Install on your phone or supported device · Instructions checked 2026-10-23

Open the provider's releases and select stable v1.36.3 for your device. Use its linked F-Droid/Play/App Store or Flathub route where appropriate; check the store's current terms rather than assuming every distribution costs the same.
Install the package matching your OS and processor, then try a local note before configuring any optional sync account.
Create a folder and a short handwritten page, then test importing a non-sensitive PDF and exporting a copy before moving a notebook.
If using synchronization, follow the provider's server and dual-password instructions. Keep recovery information and exported copies private, and verify another device can open a test note.

Provider-source review only; no candidate code, installer or APK was executed.
